DISCIPLINE YOUR MIND

But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest when I have preached to others I myself should become disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 9:27

This verse is not specifically about losing weight but good principles can be taken from it. Weight loss can not be reached without discipline.

What it takes to lose weight. I remind myself of these all the time.

1. Set a goal - make it small, many small goals add up to big weight loss.

2. Create a workable plan towards your goal - Be reasonable and know what you can and can't do. Don't set yourself up for failure.

3.  Track your progress and stay on track - Either weigh once a week or take your body measurements or both.  There is no right or wrong way to track your progress so find what works for you.

4. Discipline your mind - Make up your mind that you are going to do it this time. Don't put a fat picture on your fridge of yourself but put a skinny picture on it. Then you have something to look at and that will keep your mind disciplined to lose the weight. (If you don't have a skinny picture of yourself, find a picture of someone else that is skinny, cut off their head and glue your face onto their picture) This works!!

If you do that, you will be shedding the pounds in no time.
