"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
If I didn't believe God can begin a good work in me, I wouldn't have started this blog. I also believe that He started a good work in you, too.
I've been told that non-Christians watch Christians to see if they are truly Christians. Do we talk right? Do we act right? Do we have bad habits? And, I believe it's true that they do watch us. So I strive to be a good Christian and do the right things.
Losing weight is what I feel I am called to do right now. It doesn't mean you are called to lose weight. And I don't think I'm called to lose weight so I'll look good but so that I will be healthy. I believe there are non-Christians and Christians who look at me and think, well if she believed what she says, she'd be skinny by now.
What I like about the scripture Philippians 1:6 is that the final words are 'will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." Which means to me that this weight didn't come on over night and it won't leave over night. And, my favorite part is I have until the day of Christ Jesus to keep working at it.
He began a good work in all of us and God will see it through. So keep pressing on my friends! We will get there!
