Kettlebells are a great form of exercise that can give you a full body workout in minimum time without a reduction in overall fitness results. Also when you consider that a 20 minute kettlebell workout routine can leave the most seasoned of athletes gasping for air after a session you really have to stand up and take notice.

Kettle bell training routines are relatively new within the Western world although catching on quickly. This unique form of training incorporates a very natural and almost raw feeling for it. It's not like anything you have probably seen before. It burns more calories quicker than another workout and that's a medical fact.

But kettlebell training is certainly not the next fad of exercise class that may be so easy to do and shed so many kilos so quick you'll be laughing right up to the cake shop door. Kettlebell exercises and routines are HARD and make no doubt about it. Done properly you should really feel you've trained to your boundaries.

You must listen to your body though to avoid injury but trying to use a kettlebell that is to light in weight is totally futile I see many men and women in the gym using kettlebells that are just useless for exercising with! In fact where have they come from and why were they ever made? I see women swinging 2kg kettlebells??? Ridiculous using such a low weight is not going to benefit you, and you are really going to struggle to get the kettlebell exercises right and keep the correct form. Don't try and make it to easy because you are only cheating yourself.

A good way to build up your strength and stamina to improve your kettlebell workouts is to do quick 10 minute workouts once a day for 6 days with one days rest. This form of exercising known as HIIT or high intensity interval training is fantastic for cardio and fat burning, but because its only 10 mins long, psychologically you are more likely to stay the course and keep at it because you think to yourself "it's only 10 minutes long" so I'll do it quickly.

Try this HIIT High intensity interval training Kettle bell workout routine.

Swing all out for 30 seconds then do round the body pass for 30 seconds[ alternating direction] x 20 So in total you do 10 minutes of swings and 10 minutes of round the body pass. 10 minutes of this done all out and you'll feel like you've just finished a 2 mile sprint, seriously...

Also you'll are able to change the round the body pass to another exercise you like; try swings and squats, or swings along with halo's. Another idea is to utilize Swings and body weight routines. So for example Swings along with press ups or swings along with burpees or how about swings and a combination of all the different body weight exercises you understand how to do? You can make up so many variations because kettlebell workouts are so incredibly versatile.
